Exclusive Barge Cruises in Belgium
However beautiful our canal barge cruise routes may be, you are of course also looking for an accommodation with rest, relaxation and enjoyment. That is why we have chosen the Johanna as our trusted mean of transportation. She is one of the largest barges that are able to cruise almost every Belgian and French waterway and has ample sleeping space for up to 7 passengers.
When returning from one of the daytrips to inspiring locations such as historical city centers, museums or restaurants, you will of course be looking for comfortable sleeping quarters. That is why each of the three cabins is equipped with either a queen size or twin beds. The former sailors stay, located in the bow of the canal barge, has been turned into a comfortable single stay.
However spacious the bedding is, we have still made sure all cabins hold ample space for passengers to move around freely. To provide you with all the necessary bathroom comforts, each cabin has its own en suite bathroom, complete with shower, washing basin and toilet. Of course we also installed individual heating and air conditioning per room. One window and two portholes ensure a pleasant light filled ambiance in each room.
In the summer of 2014 the Johanna sails the following tours:
However beautiful Belgium may be to tourists, discovering it by car, train or coach is very likely to get you more frustrations than you bargained for. Traffic jams, tardiness of the public transport or having to stand upright while using trains, trams or subways, all of these hassles are sure to make your trip less than pleasurable.
Discovering the wonderful nature and historical monuments from aboard a relaxing and comfortable canal barge keeps each of these displeasures away. To make sure you don't miss out on any of the places that are of the most interest to you, we have set out a variety of canal barge routes, each with a very specific theme and mostly situated in Flanders.
