The Mare Frisium - named after the historic “Sea of Friesland” in the northern Netherlands—is a classic three-masted schooner originally launched in 1916. She began her career as a herring fishing vessel on the North Sea and later served as a coastal cargo ship operating between Scandinavia and England during and after World War II.
In 1995, the ship was beautifully restored and transformed into a comfortable passenger sailing vessel. Today, the Mare Frisium combines authentic maritime character with modern comfort, offering guests a unique sailing experience on the water.
The Mare Frisium features 10 compact yet comfortable guest cabins located on the lower deck. Each cabin is equipped with bunk beds, a washbasin, shelving, heating, and a private bathroom with shower and toilet. Some cabins also have a small skylight/porthole in the ceiling (non-opening).
